Rodefer Moss & Co, PLLC began in 1957 as Joe E. Henry & Co. In 1978, Joe E. Henry & Co., through a series of mergers and name changes became an office of KPMG, LLP. In 1990, KPMG partners Bill Moss and Bob Rodefer formed Rodefer Moss & Co, PLLC in Greeneville and acquired the northeast Tennessee accounting practice of KPMG, LLP. In 1997, a second full-service Rodefer Moss office was created in Knoxville. We have since expanded into Nashville and Kingsport, Tennessee.

Our client base consists of hundreds of public and private companies, non-profit organizations and governments. Our clients are not overly concentrated in any one industry; we have numerous manufacturing, construction, governmental/nonprofit, financial services, public utilities, and Securities Exchange Commission clients with annual revenues ranging from $1 million to more than $1 billion.

Rodefer Moss serves clients conducting business throughout the United States and across the globe. Rodefer Moss' team of professionals provides our clients with a unique blend of the old and the new, the traditional and the original. Drawing upon a rich heritage, but daring to be better, Rodefer Moss delivers multiple services integrated under one umbrella.

Rodefer Moss has developed alliances and network relationships to meet the ever-expanding needs of our clients. We are an Independent Member of the BDO Seidman Alliance of Accounting and Consulting Firms. Through this Alliance, Rodefer Moss has direct access to the same technical resources, industry specialists, and world-wide knowledge base used by BDO Seidman, LLP, a top 10 international accounting firm.

Member firms of the BDO Seidman Alliance routinely work together on client engagements when calling on each other's experience and resources benefits the client. Rodefer Moss has developed an extensive ‘subcontractor’ relationship with BDO Seidman. We have logged approximately 30,000 hours over the past three years on engagements in support of BDO Seidman. Although we may consult with BDO Seidman, or members of the BDO Seidman Alliance, all decisions for our clients are made within Rodefer Moss.
