Rodefer Moss Merges with Melhiser Endres Tucker
Rodefer Moss & Co, PLLC is merging with the Indiana and Kentucky accounting firm of Melhiser Endres Tucker, CPAs, P.C., creating a company with seven offices in three states.
The merged firm will operate under the Rodefer Moss name. The transition into a single company is effective September 1, 2008.
Rodefer Moss has Tennessee offices in Knoxville, Nashville, Greeneville and Kingsport.
Melhiser Endres Tucker has two Indiana locations, in New Albany and Corydon, and an office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Daniels Joins Rodefer Moss as Partner
Longtime Knoxville accounting professional Lee Daniels has joined Rodefer Moss & Co, PLLC.
Daniels, 43, joins as a partner in the firm, and will serve as the Director of Tax and Administration for the firm's Knoxville office.
Rodefer Moss CEO Jimmy Rodefer, spoke of Daniels, "We are very excited about Lee joining our team. He has a unique skill set which is a blend of strong technical skills, as well as impeccable client service and marketing abilities. Lee will be a tremendous asset to our firm."

2008 TN Sales Tax Holiday
Tennessee's Special One-Time Sales Tax Holiday has been changed to April 25-27, 2008.
In 2008, Tennessee will have a Sales Tax Holiday beginning at 12:01am on April 25 and ending at 11:59pm on April 27.

Rodefer Moss Named 7th Largest
Rodefer Moss & Co, PLLC, headquartered in Knoxville, is one of East Tennessee’s largest accounting firms and the seventh largest in the state, according to Business Tennessee Magazine.
The publication, which covers business across Tennessee, ranked accounting firms by number of employees.
“Considering we started out in 1990 with just 12 employees, this is a distinction of which we are extremely proud,” said Jimmy Rodefer, the firm’s chief executive officer.
