RM Names Chief Administrative Officer
Rodefer Moss & Co, PLLC is pleased to announce that Jim Myers, CPA, has joined the firm as Chief Administrative Officer.
Myers graduated magna cum laude from Carson Newman with a double major in mathematics and accounting. He obtained his CPA certification in 1976. Jim has spent his career in public accounting and banking, most recently as Shareholder/Director with HG&A Associates, P.C. until 2003, and then as Senior Vice President with Community South Bank.
"Jim is an accounting professional who understands the administrative needs of accounting firms and how to manage them," said Jimmy Rodefer, Chief Executive Officer. "We're a growing firm, and Jim is a significant part of our growth strategy."
Myers is an active member in the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). He has served on several committees within the organization and is currently a Board of Directors-at-large member. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Myers is a speaker for continuing education courses for several organizations, including the AICPA, TSCPA, and the North Carolina Association of CPAs. Currently, he is the Chairman of the advisory board for the Business and Economics Division of Carson Newman College and member of its Alumni Board of Directors.
Myers has been married since 1973 and has two adult children. In his spare time, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Teen Board of Knoxville, is a Deacon at Central Baptist Church of Bearden and serves on its finance committee, a volunteer with Vine International, Inc., and is a past president and treasurer of the Exchange Club of West Knoxville.
